OTHER ADDITIONAL COURSES
Counselling Adult Survivors of Sexual Abuse Level 2
This certificate course is held over a three day workshop and dates are to be arranged. With schools and colleges now open we will now be able to offer these workshops in our Covid-19 compliant classroom.
The workshops will run over three Saturdays during the summer. Dates for 2025 TBD

Students attending all three days will be awarded their level 2 certificate in working with adult survivors of sexual abuse.
Workshop in Counselling Abuse Survivors of Sexual Abuse.
This workshop discusses the main areas of concern when working with adult survivors of abuse including short term and long term effects, counselling techniques and historical statistics.
False Memory Syndrome
This workshop discusses the issues of false and repressed memory and examines the evidence suggesting survivors of abuse have the ability to repress memories of abuse, or does the evidence suggest that such memories are false, created by over enthusiastic therapists?
Workshop Discussing Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)
This workshop is an introduction into DID, how DID is a creative defence mechanism that enables the abuse survivor to cope with the day to day struggles of life. There is also a demonstration of counselling a DID client.

For Counsellors who want to work with the trans-personal
This is a classroom-based course comprising of:
- Five Modules
- 5 Written Assignments
- Classroom Readings and Discussions and Exercises and viewing and discussing relevant films.
Trans-personal means working beyond the physical, meaning transcending to the level of thought and spirit. This is useful for clients who have strong spiritual beliefs and for counsellors working with bereavement.
The area of study will be:
Part 1, Experiencing the trans-personal in a case study that consists of the authors own personal experience and discussing the work of mediums and out of body experiences but with a critical open minded approach.
Part 2. Scientific approaches to the trans-personal includes quotations of Albert Einstein, energy, light and time and the connection to the trans-personal/spirit. Einstein, energy and the speed of light.
Part 3, The experiments, discussing how science explains the DNA phantom effects, the effects of different emotions on DNA and the body and how the effects transcend time and space.
Part 4, Historical events and the distortion of truth that discusses events that severed our link with the past and the way we relate to the world, the Dead Sea Scrolls and the library of Nag Hammadi and arguments that science provides proof that the spirit transcends physical death.
Part 5, Further Research that discusses near death experiences and the possibility that those in authority are more aware of the trans-personal than they want us to know.
Part 6, According to Professor Carl Gustav Jung there is a need to apply spirituality to counselling. So, for counsellors and those working in holistic therapies I have added a new section. This is Trans-personal Psychology for Therapists.
